We were delighted to host our first Spring Show since 2019
in Ickenham village Hall on Saturday 26th March. It was a
joy to be back and to see familiar faces after so many
months, as well as new families too.
the many people who visited the Show throughout the
afternoon were greeted with beautiful blooms, alongside some
amazing handicrafts and cookery and wine exhibits. We were
very pleased with the number of junior entries and look
forward to seeing photos of their sunflowers grown from our
sunflower kits. there was also a photographic competition
which boasted some amazing close-up shots of flowers and
plants, unusual architecture as well as some exotic scenes
from around the world.
We welcomed back Glebe Gardening Club who staged a
wonderful display of chitted potatoes, strawberry plants,
spring flowers, many photos of their garden and a brilliant
‘gardener’ in Glebe uniform. the judges were so impressed
they awarded the club a special certificate.
Also on display was an example of the amazing Ickenham
Postbox toppers which was much admired by visitors.
our VIP guest David Edington, Chair of the Ickenham Festival
team, presented the prizes and the certificates of merit which
